We started our day with a conversation with Gabby Czertok, Founder and CEO of The Builders. The builders is an innovative platform that enables successful partnerships with Fortune 500 companies and Israeli startups. They have a Commercialization Program, R&D Innovation Program, and The Builders Fund, through which they facilitate revenue growth and cost reduction through technology.
The Commercialization Program lies at the heart of The Builders' mission, enabling partnerships between renowned corporations such as Coca-Cola, Warner Media, Mercedes-Benz, and Walmart, and promising Israeli startups. Over the course of structured 7-month programs, The Builders leverages its platform to identify and provide technological solutions tailored to each corporation's specific needs. The R&D Innovation Program focuses on longer-term projects in areas like food technologies and material sciences. By implementing building blocks and methodologies developed in-house, The Builders supports startups in tackling complex challenges that require extended timelines.
Gabby Czertok spoke about storytelling as one of the workshops they organize for corporates recognizing that startups possess an innate ability to convey their journey and ideas in a compelling manner, making storytelling a rare and valuable skill. He emphasized the importance of receiving quick responses, stating that a quick "yes" or "no" is the best outcome for startups, which is much better than a long maybe. Gabby also highlighted the significance of design thinking, noting that even small design elements can convey powerful messages, capturing attention and signaling the values and drive of a startup or corporate partner.
Gabby with his wit and humour had the audience tuning in with curiosity and questions. It was a pleasure interacting with him and we’re grateful for his time!
