It was encouraging to hear about Hila’s entrepreneurial journey building Noname Security. Having come from an unrelated background, Hila’s successful pivot into the Products space was inspiring. She emphasised the importance of being humble and constantly learning from peers on the team to achieve this. Hila also highlighted how crucial product-market fit is for a start-up to be successful and shared extensively on Noname Security’s approach. We benefited from learning about the detailed framework which Hila and the team used when starting out as this can be applied to analyse start-up ideas to venture into when we begin our entrepreneurship journey. For instance, one of the ways to determine if a problem is a good one to solve is by assessing whether the customer has spent a sizable amount of time and resources trying to find a solution.
As the sharing came to an end, Hila shared 3 key pieces of advice for aspiring entrepreneurs. Firstly, believe in yourself and aggressively pursue your goals. Secondly, do not fall in love with the problem or solution. Instead, be flexible and be comfortable with changing direction fast if needed. Lastly, be resilient and do not dream smaller just because of ‘No’s you hear on your entrepreneurship journey.
We are grateful for the opportunity to hear from Hila, an inspiring and successful entrepreneur in the cybersecurity space!
